Project Design Support

GBL brings 20 years of expertise in outdoor lighting and infrastructure project design support. We collaborate closely with end clients, consultants and channel partners including distributors and contractors, to understand project objectives, budgets, schedules and desired outcomes.

Photometric Simulations

GBL can assist clients with their lighting project by providing photometric application support. This support involves understanding the site plan, and surrounding spaces, lighting objectives, and luminaires being considered. Once this information is shared, we provide photometric simulations and work with the client to finalize their lighting design and luminaire schedule.

Product Selection and Specification

Clients often face the daunting task of having to research hundreds of luminaires just to find the few that are appropriate for their project’s lighting fixture schedule. To assist customers GBL has selected a specialized group of manufacturers to represent as our partners. The GBL team is experienced with these product lines and helps clients finalize their selections. For projects that require a more ‘tailored’ solution, most of GBL’s manufacturing partners are based in North America and have manufacturing capabilities allowing them to modify existing designs or provide a custom solution.

Project Management

Lighting and infrastructure projects can often be complex. As a partner with our client’s design team GBL helps specify project objectives and plans, including delineation of scope, budgeting, and scheduling. GBL has successfully managed hundreds of successful projects, on time and on budget.

Project Quotation and Order Management

GBL’s quotation and order management team provide quick and accurate pricing for even the most complex project. Once these quotes turn to orders, the team manages the order, including any expedites, and meet regularly with our manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery.

Post-Sale Support

After a project is shipped, and installed, GBL handles any post-sale support that might be required. Joint site visits with the client are often conducted to confirm that everything has been completed according to the owner’s specifications.

Technical Support and Education

GBL has deep knowledge and experience in all facets of lighting including luminaires, poles, and lighting controls. We regularly provide “lunch & learns” to our clients so that they can better understand current technologies and so they can better envision a design that meets their objectives.
